Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information may be processed when you browse Clumsy Download, use a download link or contact support.
Effective date: July 20, 2026This Privacy Policy applies to clumsydownload.wiki ("Clumsy Download", "we", "us" or "our"). The site provides independent information about Clumsy and links to official GitHub release assets. We do not operate the jagt/clumsy repository or GitHub.
1. Information we may collect
When you visit the site, hosting, security and analytics systems may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device category, operating system, approximate region, referral source, pages viewed, timestamps and interaction events. These records help operate the site, detect abuse, understand page performance and improve navigation.
If you email support, we receive the address, message and any files or technical details you choose to include. Do not send passwords, private keys, confidential source code or sensitive personal data in a support message.
2. Download links
Download buttons on this site use an in-page countdown and then navigate to a verified GitHub Release asset. The file is provided by GitHub and the jagt/clumsy project, not uploaded through a form on this site. GitHub may process request, security, account and download information under its own privacy terms.
We may record an aggregate event indicating that a download button was used, but we do not need to inspect the contents of the ZIP after it reaches your device. Your browser and operating system manage the actual file download.
3. Cookies and analytics
The site may use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, security, advertising measurement and basic preferences. Analytics can help identify broken layouts, popular guides and unsuccessful navigation paths. Advertising providers may use cookies or device signals according to their own policies where advertising is enabled.
You can manage cookies through browser settings or privacy tools. Blocking optional analytics may reduce measurement accuracy but should not prevent access to the site's crawlable guides and ordinary links.
4. How information is used
We do not sell support messages or claim ownership of information you provide in a correction request. Aggregate analytics may be retained without directly identifying an individual.
- Operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.
- Measure page performance and understand which guides are useful.
- Respond to correction requests, questions and support messages.
- Prevent spam, abusive automation and attacks.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce site terms.
5. Sharing and service providers
Limited information may be processed by hosting, content-delivery, analytics, security, advertising and email providers needed to operate the site. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the site, or during a legitimate transfer of the website. We aim to limit disclosure to what is reasonably necessary.
External sites linked from our pages have their own privacy practices. Official GitHub links, project documentation and other references are outside our control. Review their policies before creating an account or submitting information.
6. Retention and security
Technical logs, analytics records and support messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed for operation, security, measurement, support and legal obligations. Retention periods can differ by provider and record type.
We use reasonable safeguards, but no website or transmission method can guarantee perfect security. Keep your browser and operating system updated and verify downloaded files against official source information before execution.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection for certain personal information. Email support@clumsydownload.wiki with enough context to identify the relevant support record. We may need to verify the request.
You can also limit cookies through your browser, avoid sending optional support details and access the official GitHub repository directly if you prefer not to use the site's countdown interface.
8. Children and policy changes
The site is intended for a general technical audience and is not designed to collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child submitted personal information so it can be reviewed.
We may update this policy when the site's providers, features or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
